Written by Jennifer Saxton, Gia’s owner:
I will always remember the day when I went to select my choice of a litter of sweet, long-haired chihuahua puppies. I was fortunate to meet the mother of the puppies, as well as the mother's sister and an older brother. They were all furry precious bundles...but, one little girl in the litter just stood out. She was, after all, about twice as big as her littermates. I just kept thinking about this big, burly girl and wanted to take her home. And I did! Now, she is actually tiny compared to the relatives we met five short years ago. Her name is “Gia” and she is the light of my life! “Gia” is bright, cheerful, opinionated, funny, friendly, affectionate and extremely nosy...all of our friends know to put their purses out of reach because she is notorious for "borrowing car keys and lip gloss!"
“Gia” always enjoys her visits to Pet Medical Center. After all, they treat her just like a rock star! On one particular stay, I had asked a friend to pick “Gia” up for me. She was absolutely amazed at the treatment “Gia” receives from everyone on the staff...they never cease to amaze. Everyone on staff is truly friendly and caring. I have actually run into several employees of the Pet Medical Center at other places in town and they always greet me as "Gia's Mother!" I am both thankful and at ease knowing that when I am away on vacation “Gia” is in very loving, caring and skilled hands!

When I started working at Pet Medical Center I fell in love… and her name is “Gia”. “Gia” is an adorable five-year-old long-haired chihuahua. She stays in our boarding facility quite often and has completely melted my heart (along with all of the other staff members!). Whenever she is here with us, I spend my lunches with her, normally enjoying the sunshine in the backyard (but when it’s cold, she has NO desire to be outside). She will kiss you up one side and back down the other, with a tongue that always seems to find your nose! She LOVES to be held; whenever her kennel is opened she jumps (literally) into our arms. Then of course she always cracks me up because when she is here with us she follows me around as my little buddy, but as soon as her mom gets here to pick her up, I become chopped liver! Never the less, as soon as she returns I melt once again.
